FAQ’s

Frequent Asked Questions

u

What areas do you cover?

With our headquarters in Ware, we regularly install EV charger points in Hertfordshire, London, and throughout the Home Counties. However, we can also service domestic clients who are based further afield. Contact us for more information on what’s possible.

u

What training and accreditations do you have?

Our EV charger installers have completed the relevant training certification with Pod Point, and as a company we are NICEIC approved.

u

What grants are available for homeowners?

The government is currently running an Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme, otherwise known as the OLEV grant. Click here to discover the various initiatives available, and what they may mean for the price of your installation.

u

Will I be able to charge my car in the rain?

Yes. Car manufacturers waterproof the charging ports in their vehicles to make sure they are ultra-safe. And, unlike normal sockets, EV charge points will not start emitting an electrical current until they are firmly connected to a vehicle, at which point they will lock the cable at both ends to form an insulating barrier.

u

Will you teach me how to use my charging point?

Of course. Our engineers will talk you through how to use your EV charging unit and carry out basic maintenance to keep it performing at its best.

u

What if I need more than one EV charger?

if your family runs multiple electric vehicles, it is certainly possible to install a second or even a third EV charger at your property. However, you may not need to. With the average daily commute sitting at approximately 30 miles, it should only take you between 1 and 2 hours to recharge after travelling to and from work. Unless you are all undertaking significantly longer journeys on a regular basis, one home EV charger should be enough to meet your needs.

u

Do you offer ongoing support packages?

Once your EV charger has been installed, we can cover all your maintenance needs. Regular servicing will keep costly repairs to a minimum and give you peace of mind that your equipment is working as efficiently as possible. Speak to us for more information and to get a quote.
